Do Offsite Ads apply under $10k?
Yes, if the order is attributed to Offsite Ads. Shops under $10,000 trailing twelve-month revenue typically pay 15%. Shops at or above that threshold typically pay 12%. Etsy caps the Offsite Ads fee at $100 USD per attributed order. Toggle the rate on the calculator; on high-ticket SKUs, lower the ads % in Advanced if you need the cap. This is not the same as Etsy Ads (on-site), which you enter as dollars allocated per sale.
Does the 6.5% fee include sales tax?
For US sales tax that Etsy remits, no — transaction fee is calculated on item + shipping + gift wrap, not that tax. Processing is calculated on what the buyer pays, including tax. Enter an optional tax amount in Advanced if you want processing to include it.

Yes. When a listing sells and auto-renews, Etsy charges another listing fee. Modeling $0.20 per order is the usual way to allocate that on a sold unit.
Do digital downloads pay Etsy shipping fees?
No postage. You still pay listing, transaction, and processing on the item price.
Should UK and EU sellers add VAT on Etsy fees?
Etsy may charge VAT on its own fees. Turn on “Add 20% VAT on Etsy fees” in Advanced. That is not a buyer sales-tax engine.
Does the 6.5% fee include sales tax?
Not US sales tax Etsy remits. Processing does apply to the buyer total including tax. Enter tax in Advanced to model that.
Is there a cap on the Offsite Ads fee?
Yes. Etsy will not charge more than $100 USD in Offsite Ads fees on a single attributed order. The percentage (15% or 12%) still applies below that cap.
