AiSocialite Privacy Policy

AiSocialite is an on-device assistive communication app for iPhone. It is not therapy, speech therapy, or medical care. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app stores and what it does not.

Who we are

AiSocialite is an iOS app published by Kick-Start.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use AiSocialite on your iPhone. It does not cover unrelated Kick-Start.ai services, or third-party services we do not control such as the Apple App Store, except where noted below. Product details: kick-start.ai/ai-socialite.

Summary

The short version

  • No account is required, so we hold no username, email address, or password for you.
  • Your twin profile and preferences stay on your iPhone.
  • The microphone is used only while you hold Listen.
  • There are no AiSocialite servers holding your twin in this version.
  • There is no third-party cloud AI (OpenAI, Anthropic, and similar) in this binary.
  • There are no advertising or tracking SDKs, and no analytics.

Data stored on your iPhone

AiSocialite stores the following locally on your device:

  • Your twin profile — answers from Get to know me, plus any optional facts and phrases you approve and style notes you Keep. The app actively tries to block storage of payment cards, government IDs, bank details, passwords, full birthdates, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and similar secrets a third party could misuse.
  • Voice, volume, and theme preferences, and onboarding flags.
  • Optionally, the last reply you spoke or copied, so that Replay works.

This data stays on your device unless you choose to share a reply yourself — for example by pasting it into Messages. If you use iCloud Backup or another device backup, that backup may include the app’s data depending on your system settings.

Data we do not collect (this version)

  • No account, username, or password
  • No AiSocialite cloud sync for your twin
  • No third-party cloud AI providers in this binary
  • No advertising identifiers, and no identifiers used for tracking
  • No analytics or usage telemetry
  • Live conversation transcripts, which are cleared once reply options appear

Our App Store privacy label for this version declares Purchases (for App Functionality, not linked to your identity, and not used for tracking). All other data types remain Not Collected. Your twin stays on your iPhone; Kick-Start.ai does not collect it.

Microphone and speech

The microphone is used only while you hold Listen, and the app displays a visible “Listening…” state for as long as it is active. Speech recognition prefers on-device processing when the system supports it. We do not upload raw audio to AiSocialite servers — there are none for your twin in this version. Talk is the only feature that needs microphone and speech permission; Chat works with both permissions denied.

On-device AI

When Apple Intelligence and Apple’s Foundation Models are available on your iPhone, reply generation and fact extraction run on the device through Apple frameworks. If they are unavailable, the app may show on-device fallback reply templates so the core features still work. Either way, generation happens on your iPhone rather than on a server.

If you paste a link, your iPhone fetches that page directly — the request does not pass through Kick-Start.ai. Extracted facts are shown for your approval before they join your twin, and the source page text is not kept by default.

Security

Your twin is stored in the app’s local database with iOS file protection applied, so it is encrypted at rest by the operating system while your iPhone is locked before first unlock. A related marker is held in the iPhone Keychain and is restricted to this device only, so it is not synced to iCloud Keychain. No security measure is perfect, but because there is no AiSocialite account and no AiSocialite server holding your twin, there is no remote database of user profiles to breach.

Retention

Because your data is stored only on your iPhone, we do not set server-side retention periods. Your twin remains on the device until you delete it with Wipe twin in Settings or delete the app. Live conversation transcripts are discarded as soon as reply options appear. Email you send us is retained only as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of the exchange.

Purchases

AiSocialite offers monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction, payment method, billing, cancellation, and refund requests. Kick-Start.ai does not receive your full card or bank details. The app receives purchase and entitlement information from StoreKit only so it can unlock paid features and restore purchases. Subscriptions are manageable in your Apple ID subscription settings. The app includes five free Talk, Chat, or Practice reply generations; generating more replies requires a subscription or lifetime purchase. Teaching and editing the twin remain available without a purchase. Subscriptions may also include an introductory offer from Apple — that is separate from the five free reply generations in the app.

When you contact us

If you email info@kick-start.ai or use kick-start.ai/contact, we receive the information you choose to submit — such as your name, email address, and message — so that we can respond. We use it to reply to you and for no other purpose.

Website visits

Visiting the AiSocialite product or privacy pages on kick-start.ai may create standard web server logs through our website host, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. These logs relate to the website, not to the app, and are not connected to your twin.

Your controls

  • Export encrypted twin in Settings creates a passphrase-locked file you control (Files, AirDrop, and similar). AiSocialite does not receive that file or your passphrase. If you forget the passphrase, the file cannot be opened.
  • Wipe twin in Settings deletes your twin data on this iPhone.
  • Revoke microphone and speech permission at any time in iOS Settings; Chat continues to work.
  • Delete the app to remove its local storage.
  • Because we do not collect personal information about you, there is generally nothing for us to export, correct, or erase on request. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, contact info@kick-start.ai and we will remove it.

Children

AiSocialite is intended for adults. Onboarding asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older, and the App Store listing is rated 18+. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your twin profile with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information only where you have submitted it to us directly, where disclosure is required by law, or where it is needed to protect rights, safety, or security.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
