1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Kick-Start.ai (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information for:

• the Cue Teleprompt iOS app (the “App”); and
• related Cue Teleprompt pages on kick-start.ai, including https://kick-start.ai/cue-teleprompt/ and this Privacy Policy page.

It does not cover unrelated Kick-Start.ai services, or third-party services we do not control (including the Apple App Store), except where noted below.

4. Information we handle

4.1 On-device content you create

• Scripts — text you write, paste, or import in the App.
• Preferences — settings such as scroll speed, font size, colors, reading line, and Reader vs Film mode.
• Onboarding state — a local flag so intro tips are not shown repeatedly.
• Recordings — in Film mode, the App can capture video and audio. If you save a recording, it is written to your Photos library. On the free tier, a “Recorded with Cue” watermark may be applied on-device before saving.

This content is stored on your device (including Apple on-device storage such as SwiftData and UserDefaults). The App does not provide Cue cloud backup or sync, and it does not upload your scripts or recordings to Kick-Start.ai servers.

If you use iCloud Backup or another device backup, Apple or your backup destination may include App data based on your system settings. That is controlled by you and Apple, not by a Cue cloud service from Kick-Start.ai.

4.2 What the App does not collect

• No account, username, or password is required.
• The App does not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use teleprompter features.
• The App does not collect precise location for its features.
• The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

The App’s privacy manifest states that it does not engage in tracking and does not declare collection of data types by Kick-Start.ai for analytics products.

4.3 Purchases

If you buy or restore Cue Teleprompt Pro, Apple processes the payment. Through StoreKit, the App receives an entitlement signal so Pro features can unlock (such as more scripts, custom colors, and recordings without the Cue watermark). Kick-Start.ai does not receive your payment card details.

4.4 When you contact us

If you reach out through kick-start.ai/contact or email info@kick-start.ai, we receive the information you submit (and any details you choose to include) so we can respond.

4.5 Website visits

Visiting https://kick-start.ai/cue-teleprompt/ or this Privacy Policy page may create standard web server logs through our website host (such as IP address, browser type, and request time). See Website.

6. Device permissions

The App may request the permissions below. You can deny them or change them later in iOS Settings. Features that need a permission will not work until it is allowed.

Camera and microphone capture stay on your device unless you save a recording. The App does not upload saved recordings to Kick-Start.ai servers.

7. Purchases & subscriptions

Cue Teleprompt may offer a free experience with limits (including a script limit and a watermark on free recordings) and paid Cue Teleprompt Pro subscriptions through the App Store.

• Payments are processed by Apple via StoreKit.
• Billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellations follow Apple’s terms and your App Store region.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Use Restore Purchases in the App if you reinstall or switch devices with the same Apple ID.

Paid features are also subject to Apple’s Standard EULA (Terms of Use), which covers subscription management and related App Store terms.

8. Analytics & advertising

• The App does not use third-party advertising trackers.
• The App does not show third-party ads.
• We do not sell personal information.
• The App does not use App Tracking Transparency tracking for cross-app advertising.

If you allow it in iOS system settings, Apple may share crash or diagnostic reports with developers through Apple’s tools. That process is controlled by Apple and your device settings.

9. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your scripts or recordings with third parties for their marketing.

We may disclose information only if:

• you submit it to us (for example through the contact page or info@kick-start.ai);
• required by law or legal process; or
• needed to protect rights, safety, or security.

Apple handles App Store distribution and purchases under Apple’s terms. Our website host may process ordinary technical logs needed to run kick-start.ai.

10. Retention & deletion

• Scripts and settings stay on your device until you delete them in the App or delete the App.
• Recordings saved to Photos stay in Photos until you delete them there. Deleting the App does not remove items already in Photos.
• Contact messages (contact page or email to info@kick-start.ai) are kept as needed to respond and for ordinary business records.

11. Children

Cue Teleprompt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us through kick-start.ai/contact or info@kick-start.ai and we will delete it.

12. Your choices

You can:

• edit or delete scripts in the App;
• delete recordings in Photos;
• change camera, microphone, and Photos permissions in iOS Settings;
• manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID → Subscriptions;
• delete the App to remove local App storage.

California: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Product information is at https://kick-start.ai/cue-teleprompt/. The kick-start.ai site may use cookies or similar technologies provided by the website platform. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

14. Third-party services

• Apple — App Store, StoreKit, device permissions, Photos, and device backups.
• Website hosting — delivery of kick-start.ai/cue-teleprompt and this page.

Those services have their own privacy practices.

15. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
